WEEK - 1 : VISUALISING THE NARRATIVES

FLOOR PLAN (SHOOTING PLAN) & STORYBOARD

Floor plan and storyboards help to organise and visualise a film. Floor plan is an overhead diagram of where the camera put on the various angles, where the walls and furniture are and where the actors go. By putting such as circles, triangles, line and arrow on the paper, we can easily understand what they indicate in the each sequence. Storyboards help to visualise how the sequence will come together when director get into the edit

CAMERA SHOTS AND ANGLES
STATMENT OF INTENT

I have been fascinated by hero film and sci-fi film such as Marvel studio film, Avatar and E.T since I was younger and The Marvel films made me decided to study in Visual Effects.  I would like to build my experience and knowledge of imaging software and develop my eye for composition film in this University. Being a VFX artist, it requires the seamless the blend of the understanding principles of VFX and producing computer generated creatures. This part of VFX artist roles might make me have more motivation for studying in VFX industry. I would say that making the audience believe that what they are seeing is real would be the most interesting job ever since as a VFX artist.

WEEK - 2 : CAMERA WORK

MY PHOTO STORIES
UNDERSTANDING OF
APERTURE, SHUTTER SPEED & ISO

These three setting control, Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO, interact with each other and work together to produce a photo that is properly exposed. We call this connection the "Exposure Triangle". When one of these elements variable changes, it must affect the other elements. Therefore, we have to adjust them to keep a certain quantity of light to expose it correctly.

APERTURE

The aperture controls the amount of light falling on the sensor through the lens when we press the shutter button, and depend on how big the iris opens up a hole inside the lens.

Depth of field is the distance between two objects which are closest and farthest in a photo. The Aperture can also affect on the depth of field of an image.

SHUTTER SPEED

The Shutter Speed is the length of time how long the light hits the camera sensor while the camera shutter opening to expose light. It can be opened for a fraction of a second or minutes.

The Shutter Speed should match a object's movement. A faster shutter speed can capture freeze motion, while a slow can create motion blur.

ISO

The ISO refers to how bright your images are and how much sensitive a camera to light. The lower ISO values, the less sensitive it it to the light and the higher ISO, the more sensitive it is.

Low ISO values can be used in bright conditions, while higher ISO can be in dark conditions. But a high ISO can result in digital 'noisy' images.
